Music at Carlo Goldoni's time
The series of concerts devoted to composers that were contemporary with the famous Venetian author is still continuing: at the House of Carlo Goldoni, among the most admired palaces in Venice, on May 16th and 30th and also on June 6th and 27th (always on Friday) you can listen to music by Vivaldi, Mozart, Händel, Bach, Haydn (the last one also composed music for some Goldoni's works) and many others.
Born in Venice on February 25, 1707 and died in Paris on February 6, 1793, Goldoni is considered one of the fathers of Italian comedy, with an immense literary production that is primarily made up of comedies and booklets for the theatre. The event is organized by the cultural association “MusicaVenezia”.
